表達事情很接近、幾乎要發生，但沒有發生
例如：I almost missed the bus.
我差點錯過公車
He almost fell into the pool.
他差點摔進池子裡
barely：僅，剛好，幾乎沒有
跟 almost 不同 ，barely 指事情幾乎要不能達到但剛剛好有達到
=only just
=scarcely
=hardly
=almost not
例如：Ｉ barely made it to the bus stop on time.
我差點沒能準時到公車站 (但準時到了)
She barely fit in the car.
她差點擠不進車子 (但擠進去了)
